| Frank Petty III studied Orissi intensively
at The Evergreen State College. He graduated in 1995 and continued
to dance as a member of Urvasi. He took a hiatus to study Apparel and
Textile
Design
at
Cornell
University in New York. After Cornell, Frank spent time in both New
York and San Francisco working on various design ventures and upon
his return to Seattle rejoined Urvasi. An accomplished Orissi
dancer, Frank assists Ratna Roy in teaching the Seattle dance
classes. In Ratna's absence, Frank substitutes for her. Frank has performed
extensively in the Pacific Northwest, including British Columbia, New
York, San
Francisco and has also performed at the Nehru Center in London. He
is employed at Microsoft full time and continues to work on various
design projects (both interior and apparel) on a contractual basis
in his
spare time. Frank also teaches private classes in Orissi. |
