11/04/06: On Saturday at 3:30 in the afternoon Urvasi will perform at the 16th Annual Cultural Crossroads. A Celebration of the Pacific Northwest community’s cultural riches, presented by the Ethnic Heritage Council and Crossroads Shopping Center. The festival features some of the area’s best ethnic entertainment on two stages, an international bazaar, and exhibits.

10/15/06: Sunday afternoon, 2:30 PM, URVASI Dancers will be performing at the 3rd Annual UTSAV South Asian Performing Arts Festival at the Seattle Center in Seattle, Washington.
10/13/06: SPECIAL EVENT: Friday evening, 7:00 PM, is a Student International Travel Benefit for Sarvani Eloheimo at St. John's Episcopal Church, Capital Way & 9th Avenue, Olympia, Washington. The Celebration of Dance! will feature traditions from India, China, and Scotland, and supports 9-year-old Sarvani Eloheimo, Olympia resident and youngest recipient of the Washington State Arts Commission Folk Arts Master-Apprenticeship Award. Sarvani has been invited to perform at the International Orissi Classical Dance Festival in Orissa, India, in December 2006. The benefit is to help raise travel funds so Sarvani can participate in this extraordinary opportunity! More information.

April 21 & 22, Friday and Saturday, at 8 p.m.: The Fowering Of Orissi In The Pacific Northwest will be a full stage production presented in The Evergreen State College Experimental Theater. Except for Ruth Nelson-Moore (still in India), the Urvasi dancers who recently performed at the Feb. 06 Konark Festival will be onstage with other Urvasi dancers. February 21, 2006: Urvasi performed at the Konarak Mandap Festival in Orissa. Visit the Performance Index for more information and to see some photos. This was an annual national event in India. Excerpts were broadcast in the national India media.
December 23rd-25th, 2005: This is not dance news. It is a page dedicated to people who suffered Christmas Eve in the New Delhi Airport.
November 26, 2005 (Saturday), 3:00 PM: The Ethnic Heritage Council will host it's 6th Annual Winter Worldfest at the Seattle Center, Seattle Washington from November 25th through the 27th. Urvasi will perform Saturday in the Center House. For information about other acts visit the Ethnic Heritage Council website.
November 11, 2005 (Friday), 6:30 PM: Urvasi will perform at the Kashmiri Earthquake Relief Benefit at the Eagles Lodge Ballroom, 805 4th Ave, in Olympia, Washington. Tickets are available at Rainy Day Records & Traditions: $30 per person; $20 for students. Dinner provided by Mehfil Restaurant. The tickets are selling fast, so do not delay. Reservations can be made at (360) 867-6389. Relief donations may also be made to Edhi Foundation, 4511 National Street, Corona, New York 13168.
November 12, 2005 (Saturday), 6:40 PM: Urvasi will performing at the Fifteenth Annual Cultural Crossroads Festival in Bellevue, Washington. See the Cultural Crossroads website for more information.
January 29, 2005, 6:00 PM: Urvasi Dance will perform at Seattle University's International Dinner at the Campion Ballroom on campus. Tickets, $10 for general admission, $8 for Seattle U. students, and $5 for children under seven, are available at the International Student Center at Seattle U. January 29, 2005, Noon to 4:00 PM: Urvasi dancers will perform at India's Republic Day Celebration, produced by the Indian Association of Western Washington.
