Artist and teacher, Alice was not only beautiful, but fascinating to work with.  This shot is a two layer effect...  Graphic Pen on top of a brown tone, then the opacity is dropped on the top layer, revealing detail from the lower lever.  Fun technique and you never know exactly what you'll get till you actually try it.
