The
American Cancer Society's Relay For Life is a 24-Hour
Celebration of Life dedicated to present and former Cancer patients, their families and
friends. Relay For Life raises funds for the American Cancer
Society while raising awareness that cancer can and will
be beaten!
Relay For
Life teams are formed from companies, schools, clubs, and other organizations to
walk, run or roll in relay fashion for 24 hours around North Thurston High School's track.
The field becomes a "tent city" as teams camp-out waiting for their turn
to walk.
Cancer survivors are the focus of
Relay For Life, which starts off with a Survivor's
Walk, where all cancer survivors take the first lap to celebrate their victory over
cancer.
Another highlight of
our Relay For Life is the Midnight Memorial. For a small
donation, individuals may dedicate a luminary candle to remember a loved one who
has lost the battle with cancer.
The day and night are filled with entertainment, food, music, prizes and
festivities.

Thoughts
from your webmaster
4/18/05- The site has been updated with
all the latest information I have. I do apologize for the delay in making
these important changes. I have been swamped with business issues and was
out of town for a week. If you see anything I missed, please let me know.
New for this year, a bright new look with
lots of updates, new pictures, and links. I hope you like the new look,
and find the site easy to navigate. I will be happy to respond to your
ideas on how this site can be more helpful. Please drop me a note.
Performance issues:
Depending on your security settings, and if you are running
Windows XP with Service Pack 2 installed, you may get a pop up warning that
tells you Windows is blocking access to certain components in this site, such as
Active X controls and scripting.
Rest assured that everything posted on this site has been scanned for viruses
using the most recent Norton anti-virus software, and is rescanned before every
update. To properly view all the content here, you may need to click on
the informational warning bar at the top of your screen and check "allow

site. I hope to see you at the event next year.
One in three people will be diagnosed with cancer
of some kind during their lifetime. The American Cancer Society's web
page is the best place to get comprehensive cancer information and connect
with others who are touched by the disease. You can also learn more
about the Relay For Life, and take advantage of some tools they have
provided to assist us in our fight against cancer. You can even apply
for a Relay For Life MasterCard! Please visit the ACS's web page by clicking the logo below.
