In 1975, Marshall unveiled the original model 2203 head produced 100 watts RMS from four EL34 output tubes (valves). In 1981, Marshall introduced the JCM800 series version of the 2203, and redesigned the cosmetics, adding the large logo and grille cloth over the front baffle. The electronics, however, remained unchanged. Now in 2002, Marshall has re-released this great amp for 21st century guitarists.
You've heard the original 2203 used by artists such as Eddie Van Halen (1981-90 'brown sound' era), Kerry King, and Zakk Wylde. Now you can own this amp yourself without having to pay for the cost of a vintage amp.
